The 17th Lancers represents a British Cavalry unit of WWI. We are a unit of the Great War Historical Society (GWHS). The GWHS is composed of many units representing various combatant nations. The site has extensive series of trenches, bunkers, observation posts, and hundreds of yards of wire entanglements at either end of no-mans-land. Please join us and participate. Currently the GWHS has British, Canadian, American, French, Russian, German, and Austro-Hungarian units. GWHS units are based on real units that served in the Great War. Two major reenactments are held each year.
